In Solution Symposium at California College of the Arts

Closing symposium in partnership with California College of the Arts

Soundwave ((6)) Water Biennial closes with In Solution, bringing together experts in the fields of science, art, design and technology for a two-day symposium of panels, films and presentations on the California College of Arts’ San Francisco campus. The symposium will encourage a new awareness of water and the importance it plays in our lives, inspiring thought and action, while showcasing sound’s inherent connection to this important resource and the innovative creative voices investigating the future of this life force of our living planet.

A partial list of participants includes architect Mike Bogan, musician Lauren Wooley, artist Chris Sollars, artist Michael Swaine (Futurefarmers), textile artist Angela Hennessey, furniture maker Barbara Holmes, Stanford research fellows Jolyn Gisselburg (biochemistry) and Mary M. Cavanagh (immunology), artist Ana Labastida, artist Kim Anno, artist Ken Eklund (Future Coast), artist/designer Gene A. Felice II, SFPL History Center’s Christina Moretta, and activist and founder of Riveroplis Gregory Gavin.
